"When I transferred to Synergy Brent, part of the Social Interest Group, in March 2023, I joined as a Deputy Service Manager. Within just four weeks, I had the privilege of interviewing for the Service Manager role—and here I am today, proud to lead this incredible team.
For me, staying with SIG is about more than just a job—it’s about serving the Borough of Brent and making a real difference through housing-related support. Being born and raised in Brent, this work is deeply personal. It’s my way of giving back to the community that shaped me, and that sense of purpose resonates in everything I do.

Synergy Brent is a prevention-focused service, dedicated to helping people maintain their independence and thrive in their own homes. I have always openly encouraged all my staff to apply for opportunities at SIG, as I believe everyone should have a chance for growth and development within SIG. In my service, I have had frontline staff progress into Deputy Service Manager roles, and Deputy Managers progress into Service Manager roles. SIG is great at opening doors to people for progression.
I am truly honoured to have had the opportunity to shape our service into what it has become today. Together, we have grown and evolved as both a team and a service, demonstrating resilience and adaptability despite the challenges life has presented."
